The ideal short trip to combine culture and cuisine: travel back in time for a trip to the world of the Ibers guided by a local archaeologist, enjoy the virgin landscape of Southern Catalonia and savour the delicious wine, olive oil and traditional Iber dishes served on typical Iber artisan crockery, crafted for the occasion.
Let your creativity flow and participate in a workshop with a local craftsman, take your work of art home as a gift, along with the artisan crockery from your meal.

Day 1: ART, IBER ARCHEOLOGY, AND OLIVE OIL

Arrival to Terra Alta. Welcome by the local archaeologist, who will take you to visit the two most prominent archaeological sites of the Iber world, in Gandesa and Calaceit. In the afternoon, we recommend you take part in a workshop with one of the craftsmen who participate in the elaborate project #3TerritorisArt, where young and old alike can let their creativity run wild. All participants can keep their creations. You will finish the day at an oil mill, relishing one of the most greatly appreciated products of the times of the Ibers, olive oil.
Overnight stay at Calaceit, a town located in Matarranya with a spectacular historic centre.

Day 2: WINE AND IBER LUNCH

You will discover the elaboration process of Ilercavònia wine in Batea, with the help of the winemaker, ending with a sample of wine, another highly appreciated product in Iber times. The day will end with an Iber lunch in a restaurant of this same town, where you will taste their typical dishes on artisan crockery crafted for the occasion, which you will be able to take home to keep.
